fundraising for Gazan artists and their families is unsustainable unless you've got the right pizzaz for it, and we don't got it---but we understand design and know what we love.
We send 20% of profits to individual artists in Palestine.
It’s been over 15 months since we got the first SOS from artist friends in Gaza. Over the past 4-5 months the money sent is sometimes spread thin. With streetwearTruth we hope to grow our support with bigger and bigger helping hands.
Early one morning in 2010, we set off for Birzeit and found the elegant al-Hosh restaurant. Intending to eat a quick breakfast, we stayed until after sunset.
This photo describes the exquisite space between the ground and second floor. Open to the sky, it was a ceramic studio for kids to create while waiting to eat and m in our case, between three meals.... Serving some of the best Palestinian food--ever--the restaurant also doubled as an artist-in-residence, providing the artist the world's coolest residency-- an ancient piece of architecture rehabilitated by RIWAQ Center for Architectural Conservation of rural Palestine
